chant and whisper
Today I saw Mr and Mrs Nathan as I carried out my NS duties, perhaps this is one of their last few official appearances before they finally can retire and enjoy sagely life out of office.Tomorrow I'll be having this 5km run at Macritchie Reservoir, as part of a cohesion event with my unit in NS. It will be nostalgic, because I remember a similar run I had as part of my secondary school X-country event (at macritchie for obvious rafflesian reasons. distance from school, for one) - and I suspect that tomorrow's route will be almost the same as the one we took that time. But of course I'm going to make sure I won't be sustaining another permanent injury this time around. It's simple though since tomorrow, unlike 5 years ago, I won't be driven by a 'Buckley FTW!' spirit and be led to sacrifice any bit of my legs for earning house points. Ah but that being said: Buckle-Buckley FTW, still!! Haha. Maybe tomorrow as I chase those tracks of a long-gone past, I will reminisce a little shard of that unique exhilaration and pride that welled up in my heart then as i ran.
